I really think that the rest of the list has less impact if we can't tie those heart strings. I often respond to my children's failures in poor ways. I was so proud of myself when someone spilled a glass of OJ and I responded in a loving and kind way... it is very uncharacteristic of me. We both came aways with loves and smiles...
