Praise.

How can people praise in the midst of death and destruction?

They know Someone.
That Someone turns sorrow into joy, despair into hope, darkness into light, death into life.
When you know that Someone intimately, your life is never the same and you can sing while chaos happens around you.

Read this touching story about praise in Haiti!

How can a man praise in the dank dark of a cell while the chains cut into his wrist?
He remembers that Someone whose wrists were pierced.
But why does this same man keep proclaiming the Good News about that Someone to the very guards that beat him, with full knowledge that his body will be tortured again? Is he crazy?
No. He counts it all joy to suffer for Him.

There have been many men like this (just read the book of Acts!), but one in particular named Richard Wurmbrand, has touched my heart. His book Tortured For Christ is a book everyone ought read!
Go here to receive a free copy of it.

These people inspire my faith to go deeper, my soul to be stronger, and my voice to sing louder.

PRAISE!

"I will bless the Lord at all times;
His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
My soul shall make it's boast in the Lord;
The humble shall hear it and be glad.
Oh, magnify the Lord with me,
And let us exalt His name together!"

I love Richards testimony! Another one to read would be Dumitru Duduman's book: Through The Fire Without Burning. You can find it at handofhelp.com These testimonies are soooo rich of love and sacrifice that it's beyond the ability of our selves to accomplish. Love it! :)
